Winners Announced for the 2008 Woodmont Awards

BELMONT, CA (December 2008) – Woodmont Real Estate Services, the premier property management firm in Northern California, held its annual award ceremony recognizing those associates and properties that exceeded the company’s standards in customer service and property operations, maintenance, and appeal.

The first award given out was to Manual Lopez of Adagio Apartment Homes in Sacramento, for Service Department Member of the Year. Manual’s commitment to teamwork and his consistently optimistic attitude have made Adagio the superior community it is today and no doubt helped it to win this year’s Property of The Year (over 100 units) award.

Our Administrative Person of the Year award went to Geoff Sowul, Property Manager of Antelope Vista Apartment Homes in Antelope. Geoff continually finds ways to increase efficiency and productivity at his property and assist multiple properties with software and reports.

The Marketing and Sales Persons of the Year award went to Janine Rood from Magnolia Court Apartment Homes due to her assistance with internet advertising and unique marketing ideas. Albena Atanassova also received the award due to her sales skills and outstanding record of call conversions.

Heather Ridge Apartment Homes in Sacramento won Property of the Year (under 100 units) for consistently maintaining a superior living environment for its residents and an all-star team that provides the best in customer service.

The Team Spirit of the Year award went to associates at The Waverly at Campbell Apartment Homes. The Waverly recently completed a 1.5 million dollar interior and exterior renovation, and throughout the whole process the team maintained an upbeat attitude and approach, embracing every aspect of the project with enthusiasm.

Angie Jacoby won the Property Manager of the Year award for her unwavering professionalism, dedication, and leadership in working with her residents and team at Sand Cove Apartments in Foster City.

Corporate Person of the Year Award went to Kristine Owensby, Regional Property Manager for Woodmont Real Estate Services. Kristine’s passion and dedication for the properties she oversees are greatly appreciated, and her sense of humor and positive attitude make her a joy to work with.

Commercial Manager of the Year went to Ken Herz from Century Plaza in Foster City due to his exceptional solution-orientated approach to business, consistent dependability, and can-do attitude.

Keith Kostad won Woodmont’s Commercial Facilities Tech of the Year award for his fast thinking and the unique problem-solving abilities he demonstrates in any project with which he is involved. He is productive and efficient while maintaining the highest level of quality work and professionalism.

The last award given out was the prestigious Woodmont Hall of Fame Award, which is awarded to those team members that have continually provided the best in service year after year. The 2008 Hall of Fame award went to three recipients. The first was Van Cao of Fair Oaks West Apartments in Sunnyvale, who recently celebrated his 20th anniversary with Woodmont and continues to demonstrate an extraordinary level of dedication to the company. The second recipient was Dinah Leach of Fair Oaks West, who continues to prove what an asset she is to the company and never hesitates to help out anywhere she is needed. Her boundless optimism and commitment are appreciated every day. The final recipient was Carole Torre of The Overlook at Fountaingrove Apartments in Santa Rosa. With unmatched communication skills and poise, Carole has never had a day where her professionalism has wavered.
