Each year, Woodmont Real Estate Services initiates programs to engage, support and serve the respective communities throughout Northern California where we live and work. Further, the company intentionally selects programs that support where our clients’ assets are physically located.

This year and at our all-hands company gathering in the summer, we kicked off a drive to collect shoes and clothing with an aptly named organization: Soles4Souls.

Soles4Souls is dedicated to helping people acquire (at no charge) gently used shoes, clothing and accessories that enhance their lives and supports people in crisis, all the while diverting materials from landfills by reducing waste and minimizing environmental impacts. Throughout late summer and early autumn, Woodmont also placed collection bins in many of the apartment communities and commercial properties it manages. The program has had an enormous success. It collected 1,122 pairs of shoes and 1,500 pounds of clothing.

We appreciate all the Woodmont staff that enthusiastically supported the collection effort and made a difference in the communities they serve.
