Woodmont is pleased to announce the management assignment of the California Fruit Building, an office building that was once Sacramento’s tallest structure.
Located at Fourth and J streets, the 10-story office building was completed in 1914 and is undergoing a major interior renovation.
Woodmont’s primary and current focus is to take care of the existing building occupants during the demolition phase of redevelopment.
“We bought this asset for a number of reasons with location being one of them, yet because it is a very unique and irreplaceable building with some period-piece, ornate features – it is a true icon in our marketplace,” says John Leonard, one of the Fruit Building principals. “And with 4,100-square-foot floorplates with at least 12 feet of clear height and lots of windows, we think there will be a great deal of demand for the space when it is available later this year,” Leonard added.
